Game Summary
Team Rutherford managed to sneak a rock through a tight port on a falling turn and that lead to a deuce on the first end. The Teams traded singles on ends 2 through 5. On the 6th end , Team Rutherford was guarding a rock in the four foot most of the end, only leaving a raise back attempt for Team Webster that just missed resulting in a steal of one. Team Webster did set up a deuce in the 7th with a freeze and when Team Rutherford over-curled and jammed an attempted take-out, Team Webster drew for the second point. The turning point was the 8th end, a Team Webster quard slipped into the rings and Team Rutherford made a nice double to lay two behind guards forcing Team Webster to attemp a sharp angle raise tap-up. Their rock did not curl enough and Team Rutherford then made a short tap-up on a front stone for the three ender. On the 9th end, Team Webster made valiant attempt at a triple takeout to possibly get three back by throwing a "high hard" one at a pocket of r!
ocks but left one of Team Rutherford stones as the counter. The concensus by the Teams was that it needed to be a "Kevin Martin" hard take-out to get the triple.

Team Anholt crashes on the guard leaving Shaggy the draw to the open side to lay 2. Anholt noses the double attempt followed by a hit by Ross leaving Anholt another shot at the double. He jams his attempt leaving Ross a open hit for 2.

2nd end
Another open end sees Anholt team attempting to freeze to Ross stones. Anholt makes a nice double with his first. With his last he is attempting to hit and roll out for the blank but ends up sticking around for his 1.

3rd end
Another fairly open end. Only a couple guards in play. Ross gets 1 stone guarded on the corner. They also have a rock in the 4 foot. Shaggy splits the house to lie 3. Team Anholt attempts to hit the stone in the 4 foot but just nudge it leaving Ross lieing 3. Ross attempts to put another rock near the 4 foot leaving Anholt the option of a double or a tough freeze. Ross comes up light leaving Anholt a shot at a come around to get out of the end. Anholt's last stone over curls and crashes on the guard leaving Ross a open draw for 4 which is made by the outstanding sweeping of Joel and Bert.

4th end
Anholt again attempts to get rocks in play but just never get in a great position for them and Team Ross keeps hitting them out and sticking around. Anholt attempts a wide outturn draw with skips first stone between 2 guards against 3 Ross counters. Anholt makes it through the port but is heavy and slides through the rings. Team Anholt decide that things are not going their way and call it a game without completing the rest of the 4th end. So it was of to the lounge for a Christmas Drink.

Bailey 6 0 0 2 0 3 0 0 1 x x
Game Summary
The Big Bag of Silk (Mickey P.) engineered an early 4 point lead that not even his 4th Adrian "The Sh_tmobile" could screw up. Team Bailey super spare and last rock thrower Jim "The Arrow" Walsh made two lovely shots through a narrow port for 2 in the third. The teams then went on the defensive, trading 3-enders in the next two ends and Team Silk put the game out of reach with a deuce and steal in ends 6 and 7. The Arrow made a nice tap for one in the 8th, then we all went upstairs for Christmas beers and intellectual conversation.

Genoway 7 1 0 1 1 0 2 1 1 x x
Simpson 3 0 2 0 0 1 0 0 0 x x
Game Summary
Having their third now recovered from the trauma of having to wear a logo of "Blue & Gold", the Genoway team embarked on their mission of subtle victory by letting the Simpson 3 1/2 (their term) win the toss. Back and forth til the 6th with a delicate tap and roll for a deuce. Followed by a Simpson blank attempt gone awry in the seventh and a bit of wonky ice in eight. After deliberation, Simpson decided their version of "The Nightmare Before Christmas" was over.
