Summary |
This was a low scoring game with neither team able to generate a big end. Single points were scored on ends one, three, four , five and seven with ends two and six blanked. There were more rocks in play on the 8th and team Rutherford made a come-around tap back for the deuce to go one up. On the 9th end, after Team Rutherford was able to place some nice guards on a rock in the 4 foot, Team Bakker barely missed a run-back blank attempt resulting in Team Rutherford stealing one. In the 10th, Team Bakker did manage to get some rocks behind corner guards, but a Team Bakker come-around attempt stayed in the open and Team Rutherford was able to make a double to seal the win.

Summary |
The early part of the game was more or less a series of hits which would have bored the audience to tears if there had actually been anybody watching. The seventh end saw Kimmett steal 3 as O'Connor's final rock overcurled and jammed the takeout. In the ninth Kimmett returned the favour as his hit was a little wide and jammed to leave O'Connor with a steal of three and some hope for the final end. In 10 Kimmett's lead made two perfect tick shots, but one failed peel attempt gave O'Connor a chance to get behind cover and steal the win.
