I have about forty years of curling experience. Most
people who are familiar with with curling in and around
Calgary will be with my families accomplishments. I
was a schoolboys champ in various positions from 1969
to 1972 winning a SACA boot on two of those
occasions. Won several city zone births over the years
but I can't remember what years anymore.
I also played for many years in the competitive circuit
with such great players as Paul Gowsell, Hec Gervais,
slow Eddie Lukowich, Bill Clark and of course Hammie
MacMillan of Scotland. My curling experience has taken
me from Victoria to St. John's Nfld, to speils state
side Chicago, Boston, Milwaukee and Seattle. I
also have curled in spiels in Holland, Switzerland,
Germany, Sweden and of course my favorite Scotland many
times.
I have been club champion as a skip, of the
Calgary Winter Club (2 times), the North Hill CC
( 2 times), the Calgary CC. and twice runner up
for club champ at Inglewood Golf & CC. This
year I added to my list of victories Invermere Skins
Spiel and Osoyoos mid Summers bonspiel. As my
best years of top notch curling has probably passed
me by, I am still very competitive, can sweep and
can still contribute to most teams, guaranteed!

I'm
20 years old, just finishing off my last year as a
junior. I've played at numerous junior and juvenile
southerns and won a Gold medal at the 2000 Alberta
Winter Games as well as a silver medal at the Optimist
Western Canadian Juvenile Invitational. I currently
play 3rd for the Ryan Keirstead team out of the Calgary
Club.
